Bronwyn Hodgins Presentation at Alt Rock

The acclaimed female climber Bronwyn Hodgins, who is the first Canadian woman to free climb Freerider 5.13a on El Capitan in Yosemite, will be presenting a slideshow in Barrie later this week.

The event is sponsored by Alt. Rock and will take place on Friday, November 10, at the Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery.
 
Hodgin's impressive climbing resume also includes numerous big wall ascents, difficult sport and trad routes, the second female ascent (and fifth overall) of Necronomicon 5.13d/14a, as well as the third female ascent of Golden Gate 5.13a on El Capitan.
 
Tickets are $20 and are available now from Alt. Rock. Doors open at 7 p.m., and attendees will be eligible to win a three-month Alt. Rock membership, as well as other prizes.
