New Board-Member Candidate Added to OAC Annual Meeting
Jun 07, 2011
Justin Dwyer has added his name to the list of climbers running for the Ontario Climbing Access Coalition’s (OAC) Board of Directors.
Dwyer started climbing while attending university in Newfoundland in 2000. After returning home to Ontario, he spent time climbing indoors before eventually finding the Escarpment. While Dwyer prefers trad climbing, his also also clips bolts, boulders and occasionally ice climbs. Dwyer is a passionate member of the community who believes that Ontario can become a legitimate destination climbing area “if only we could figure out solutions to our access issues.”
Dwyer works in the climbing industry managing the Ajax Rock Oasis, is one of Canada's highest certified ACMG Climbing Gym Instructors and a member of the OAC and the Alpine Club of Canada (ACC).
The Ontario Climbing Access Coalition (OAC) has announced that its annual meeting of its members will be held at True North Climbing Gym on June 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
At the meeting OAC members will receive OAC’s annual audited financial statements, elect new board members and participate in decisions that will direct the OAC’s actions for the upcoming year.
OAC members unable to attend the meeting can still vote for the Board of Directors by filling out the proxy form (see below) and submitting it with someone who will be going to the meeting.
