How Climbing Ropes Are Made

Earlier this year, Alison Dennis and Andreas Unterschuetz, the team from WeighMyRack.com, visited the Edelrid factory in Germany and documented how climbing ropes are made.
This video sheds light on all the complex processes involved in manufacturing modern climbing ropes. The video also features what may be the last footage of Carsten von Birckhahn who passed away this year in a paragliding accident. Carsten was an incredibly talented climber and was instrumental in transforming Edelrid into the market leader it is today.
